Looking out for you

There’s no such thing as a “routine” exam at Family Eye Care. With advanced instruments we can often detect :

  • MACULAR DEGENERATION
  • GLAUCOMA
  • HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
  • ANEMIA
  • HIGH CHOLESTEROL
  • CAROTID ARTERY DISEASE
  • DIABETES
  • MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
  • STROKE
  • BRAIN TUMORS

Our emphasis is on prevention. With our advanced instrumentation, the above are a few of the disorders that we typically diagnose and manage at Family Eye Care.

During every comprehensive eye examination, Dr. DeGroff performs four different tests for Glaucoma. He uses two different instruments to evaluate for cataracts, and evaluates the retina, blood vessels within the eye, macula for macular degeneration, and vessels within the eye, macula for macular degeneration, and optic nerve head, which is the part of the brain that attaches to the back of the eye. After these and numerous other tests, an overall evaluation of eye health and other disorders that can manifest as eye signs is performed.

To state it simply, our goal is to make sure you are seeing as well as possible, make sure your eyes are health and we do everything possible to keep your healthy and seeing well for years to come.
