Dr. DeGroff Attends Eye Care Symposium
Dr. Steven A. DeGroff attended a symposium on current developments in eye care April 28 thru May 1. The four day symposium was held in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
"This meeting was notable for the varied topics that were presented.” Dr. DeGroff stated. “Nationally and internationally-known researchers and industry leaders presented some of the latest developments in a number of eye disorders including contact lenses used to treat corneal diseases, treatment of ocular allergies and skin disorders also affecting the eyes, computerized scanning technologies for diagnosing and treating corneal and retinal diseases, and macular degeneration.” Dr. DeGroff continued: “some really exciting technologies on the horizon are medical devices incorporated into contact lenses that will be able to measure and monitor blood glucose levels for diabetes and intraocular pressure for glaucoma.”
Dr. DeGroff has practices in Berne and Winchester.
